The Albanian National Awakening ( sq, Rilindja or ), commonly known as the Albanian Renaissance or Albanian Revival, is a period throughout the 19th and 20th century of a cultural, political and social movement in the Albanian history where the Albanian people gathered strength to establish an independent cultural and political life as well as the country of Albania. Prior to the rise of nationalism, Albania remained under the rule of the Ottoman Empire for almost five centuries and the Ottoman authorities suppressed any expression of national unity or national conscience by the Albanian people. There is some debate among experts regarding when the Albanian nationalist movement should be considered to have started. The Serbian Revival ( sr, Српски препород / Srpski preporod) or Serbian national awakening refers to a period in the history of the Serbs between the 18th century and the ''de jure'' establishment of the Principality of Serbia (1878). It began in Habsburg territory, in Sremski Karlovci. The Serbian renaissance (Српска ренесанса / Srpska renesansa) is said to have begun in 17th-century Banat. The Serbian Revival began earlier than the Bulgarian National Revival. The first revolt in the Ottoman Empire to acquire a national character was the Serbian Revolution (1804–1817), which was the culmination of the Serbian renaissance. Ulema National Awakening Party
The Ulema National Awakening Party ( id, Partai Kebangkitan Nasional Ulama) was an Islamist political party in Indonesia. The party was established by Indonesian ulemas seeking political vehicle to promote Islamic political values while being disillusioned with the National Awakening Party. PKNU's main voter base was members of traditional Muslim organisation Nahdlatul Ulama. The only election that PKNU contested was in 2009, as the party failed to participate in subsequent elections due to failure to satisfy the increasingly rigorous KPU RI criteria.
