Manitoba Provincial Road 340
Manitoba Provincial Road 340 is a provincial road in the southwestern section of the Canadian province of Manitoba. Route description The route begins at PTH 2 south of Wawanesa, and terminates at the Trans-Canada Highway just north of Douglas. PR 340 is the main road that serves CFB Shilo. The route is paved at the northern and southern ends of the route, with a large gravel section connecting CFB Shilo with Treesbank. History PR 340 was originally a much longer provincial road in comparison to its current distance. In the early 1990s, the Manitoba government decommissioned a number of provincial secondary roads and returned the maintenance of these roads back to the rural municipalities. The section of the original PR 340 between Treesbank and Belmont was included in this decommissioning. Prior to this, PR 340 started at PTH 3 near Holmfield. Colorado State Highway 340
State Highway 340 (SH 340) is a long state highway in the U.S. state of Colorado. The highway's western end is at U.S. Route 6 (US 6) and US 50 in Fruita, and the eastern end is at the junction of US 50 and I-70 Business (I-70 Bus.) in Grand Junction. This highway is mainly used by the residents of Grand Junction's suburb Redlands. Route description The route begins at a concurrency of US 6 and US 50 in Fruita. The route then turns onto cherry Street in Fruita where it junctions with Interstate 70 (I-70). The Highway then moves then heads south, passing over the Colorado River, where it heads into Redlands. There, it traverses the suburban area as Broadway Road, passing the Colorado National Monument on the south side of the highway. Though it is signed as an east–west route, it actually follows a north–south alignment. The southern terminus of the route is at the New Jersey state line in Palisades, where it becomes County Route 501 (CR 501). The northern terminus is at an intersection with NY 303 in Orangeburg; however, according to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), the route continued for another to the northwest of NY 303 until by 2017. NY 340 was assigned to part of its modern routing in the early 1930s and extended to its current length in the early 1940s. Nevada State Route 340
State Route 340 (SR 340) is a short state highway in Lyon County, Nevada. The route covers a portion of Bridge Street in the city of Yerington. Route description SR 340 begins at the intersection of Bridge Street and State Route 339 just west of the city limits and east of Yerington Mine. From there, the highway heads east on Bridge Street, immediately crossing over the Walker River. The route passes through farm areas and just north of the Yerington Paiute Indian Colony as it heads into more populated areas of the city.
