Pennsylvania Route 28 (PA 28) is a major state highway which runs for from Anderson Street in Pittsburgh to U.S. Route 219 (US 219) in Brockway in Pennsylvania. From Pittsburgh to Kittanning it is a limited access expressway named the Alexander H. Lindsay Memorial Highway or the Allegheny Valley Expressway. Route description PA 28 begins adjacent to Downtown Pittsburgh at Anderson Street near the Interstate 279 (I-279)/ I-579 interchange and travels north/northeast along the northern bank of the Allegheny River. Until recently the route was a surface street for the first until the 40th Street Bridge and then an expressway from 40th Street to Kittanning. Snyder Township is a township in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,366 at the 2020 census. It was named for Governor of Pennsylvania Simon Snyder. History The Redferd Segers House at Crenshaw was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. Geography The township is in northeastern Jefferson County, bordered to the northeast by Elk County and to the southeast by Clearfield County. It surrounds the borough of Brockway. Unincorporated communities in the township include Crenshaw, Sugar Hill, Lanes Mills, Erie Junction, and Beechton. U.S. Route 219 passes through the township as it enters and exits Brockway, leading south to DuBois and northeast to Ridgway. Clover Township is a township in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 430 at the 2020 census, down from 448 at the 2010 census. It was named for Levi G. Clover, Jefferson County prothonotary, in 1841. Geography Clover Township is in western Jefferson County and is bordered on its west side by Clarion County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which are land and , or 1.11%, are water. Redbank Creek, a tributary of the Allegheny River, crosses the township from east to southwest. The township entirely surrounds the borough of Summerville, located on Redbank Creek. There are two unincorporated villages, Baxter and Content. The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is the United States federal government's official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures and objects deemed worthy of preservation for their historical significance or "great artistic value". A property listed in the National Register, or located within a National Register Historic District, may qualify for tax incentives derived from the total value of expenses incurred in preserving the property. Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania
Reynoldsville is a borough in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is northeast of Pittsburgh in a productive soft coal region. The population was 2,759 at the 2010 census. Reynoldsville was originally called Winslow Township and was renamed after local postmaster Thomas Reynolds in 1850. History In 1855 a man by the name of Tilton Reynolds owned the land in what is today Reynoldsville. He began selling lots of property in the hopes of starting a town. Over the course of the 19th century, Reynoldsville would grow into the town that is it is today. Reynoldsville would grow its industries in the way of silk mills, brick and tile works, a tannery, a macaroni factory, and an asbestos plant to provide employment. The borough was greatly enlarged in 1913 when it annexed West Reynoldsville (population 993 in 1910) and three large adjacent areas.
