The National Film Award for Best Animated Film is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. It is one of several awards presented for feature films and awarded with a Golden Lotus (Swarna Kamal). The award was instituted in 2006, at 54th National Film Awards and awarded annually for films produced in the year across the country, in all Indian languages; Hindi (3 awards), Tamil and Telugu (1 each). The 58th National Film Awards, presented by Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India to felicitate the best of Indian Cinema for the year 2010. The selection process started by announcing the invitation for the awards on 18 March 2011. ''Mahayoddha Rama'' is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language animated film directed by Rohit Vaid. The film won the National Film Award for Best Animated Film. ''Mahayoddha Rama'' narrates the story of Ramayana from Ravan's perspective. The film had a delayed release in 2016. Nikhil Advani
Nikhil Suresh Advani (born 28 April 1971) is an Indian film and television director, writer and producer who works in Hindi cinema. He along with his sister, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani, co-founded the entertainment company Emmay Entertainment.
