Iraqi National Congress
The Iraqi National Congress (INC; Arabic language, Arabic: المؤتمر الوطني العراقي ''Al-Moutammar Al-Watani Al-'Iraqi'') is an Iraqi political party that was led by Ahmed Chalabi who died in 2015. It was formed as an umbrella Iraqi opposition (pre-2003), opposition group with the aid and direction of the United States' government following the Gulf War, Persian Gulf War, for the purpose of fomenting the overthrow of longtime President of Iraq, Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. History INC was set up following the Gulf War, Persian Gulf War to coordinate the activities of various anti-Saddam groups. Then President of the United States, President George H. W. Bush signed a presidential finding directing the CIA, Central Intelligence Agency to create conditions for Saddam's removal in May 1991. People's National Congress Party
The People's National Congress is a political party in Papua New Guinea. Its former leader Bill Skate served as Prime Minister from 1997 to 1999 and as speaker of Parliament from 2002 to 2004. Skate died in 2006 and the party was led by Peter O'Neill until 2022. PNC originated from the National Capital District where former leader (late Bill Skate) was the Governor of NCD and the Parliamentary Member. The party had 16 members in the 113-seat National Parliament of Papua New Guinea as of December 2022. History The party was founded in 1993. General National Congress
The General National Congress or General National Council (GNC; ar, المؤتمر الوطني العام, Berber: Agraw Amuran Amatay) was the legislative authority of Libya for two years following the end of the First Libyan Civil War. It was elected by popular vote on 7 July 2012, and took power from the National Transitional Council on 8 August. Tasked primarily with transitioning Libya to a permanent democratic constitution, it was given an 18-month deadline to fulfil this goal. When the deadline passed with work on the new constitution only just getting underway, Congress was forced to organise elections to a new House of Representatives, which took power and replaced it on 4 August 2014. It existed for two years before being disbanded on 11 September 1800. The battalions were also referred to as the Maltese Army or the Maltese insurgents. The islands were occupied by French forces in June 1798, when Napoleon ousted the Order during the Mediterranean campaign of 1798.
