National Association Of Charismatic And Christian Churches
The National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) is an association of charismatic Christian churches in Ghana. Origin The NACCC plays a supervisory role to ensure that ministers maintain high moral standards. Protestant churches in Ghana belonged to The Christian Council of Ghana or The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) until the NACCC was founded. The NACCC was founded on 1 December 1999 by Dag Heward-Mills who was also elected twice as Chairman. It had existed informally before that date. The word "Christian" was included in the name to show that the organization was open to churches that shared its vision even if they did not consider themselves charismatic. The NACCC defined one of its objectives as fostering close cooperation between its members and with other umbrella church organizations including the CCG, GPCC and the Council of Charismatic Churches. Charismatic Christianity
Charismatic Christianity (also known as Spirit-filled Christianity by its supporters) is a form of Christianity that emphasizes the work of the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, and modern-day miracles as an everyday part of a believer's life. Practitioners are often called ''Charismatic Christians'' or ''Renewalists''. Although there is considerable overlap, Charismatic Christianity is often categorized into three separate groups: Pentecostalism, the Charismatic movement (which is spread across historical Christian denominations), and the Neo-charismatic movement. Dag Heward-Mills (born 14 May 1963) is an evangelist, pastor, author, and conference speaker based in Accra, Ghana. Mohammed Sanogo (born 30 April 1974, Nogent-sur-Marne) is an Ivorian pastor, author and missionary from Ivory Coast. The Neo-charismatic (also third-wave charismatic or hypercharismatic) movement is a movement within evangelical Protestant Christianity that is composed of a diverse range of independent churches and organizations that emphasize the post-biblical availability of gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and faith healing. Action Chapel International (ACI) is a Charismatic Christian church based in Accra, Ghana.
