Nathmal Pahalwan
Nathmal Pahalwan also known as Nathu Pahalwan, Nathmal Pareek and Nathmal Kathotia (1911–2006) was a professional wrestler and a community activist from Calcutta, India. He was the founder oGanga Seva Samiti Ghat and the wrestling arena in Calcutta, India. He was popularly known as Guruji (Master Teacher) and Pahalwanji (Wrestler in Hindi) by his close friends and disciples. Guruji's dedication and persistent efforts inspired his close friends and disciples to support the holy mission of building a safe ghat for people to worship in the river Ganges and offer prayers at the nearby temples. In English- and/or Hindi-speaking areas 'ghats' refers to the areas, in the holy river-side cities like Haridwar, Varanasi, Calcutta - where there is a stairway to access the Ganges River. Dara Singh Randhawa (born Deedar Singh Randhawa; 19 November 1928 – 12 July 2012) was an Indian professional wrestler, actor, director and politician. He started acting in 1952 and was the first sportsman to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha (upper house) of India. He worked as Hindi and Punjabi film producer, director and writer, and he acted in films and television. He is known for his undefeated worldwide streak in wrestling and later being a successful movie star. He got defeated by Brahmdev Misra of Gorakhpur in Calcutta's Dharmatala. Premchand Degra is an IFBB professional bodybuilder from India. He won the World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships title in the short-height 80 kg category in 1988. He was also awarded the "Achievement Medal" by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) in 2003 for winning its World Middleweight Champion title in 1988. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. Bholu Pahalwan
Manzoor Hussain (1922–1985), also known as Bholu Pahalwan, was a Pakistani wrestler and held the world heavyweight title. Biography Bholu came from a Kashmiri family of renowned wrestlers from Amritsar and after the independence of Pakistan in 1947, moved to Lahore, Pakistan. He lived in Amritsar until he was nine. Then during one of his school holidays, Bholu moved to Patiala to visit his father, who was also a wrestler. He was Gama Pehelwan's nephew. He died on 6 March 1985 in Pakistan. His son Nasir Bholu is also a wrestler. Almond paste is made from ground almonds or almond meal and sugar in equal quantities, with small amounts of cooking oil, beaten eggs, heavy cream or corn syrup added as a binder. Guru Hanuman actual name Vijay Pal Yadav (1901–1999) was a legendary wrestling coach of India who coached many medal-winning wrestlers. He was awarded the prestigious Dronacharya Award in 1987, the highest recognition for a sports coach in India, and the Padma Shri in 1983.
