Nathan Smith (footballer, Born 1996)
Nathan James Smith (born 3 April 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Port Vale, where he is also club captain. He has won praise for mental attributes such as bravery, consistency and commitment, as well as for his pace and strength. Smith turned professional at Port Vale in June 2014 and spent the 2014–15 season on loan at Stafford Rangers and the 2015–16 season on loan at Torquay United, winning the Player of the season award at Torquay. He made his Football League debut for Port Vale in August 2016, and went on to win the club's Player of the Year award for the 2016–17 relegation season. He helped the club to win promotion out of League Two via the play-offs in 2022, and was then again named as Port Vale's Player of the Year in 2022–23. He was appointed as club captain in July 2023. Bradford is a city status in the United Kingdom, city and the administrative centre of the City of Bradford district in West Yorkshire, England. Football Pitch
A football pitch (also known as soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football. Its dimensions and markings are defined by Law 1 of the Laws of the Game, "The Field of Play". The pitch is typically made of natural turf or artificial turf, although amateur and recreational teams often play on dirt fields. Artificial surfaces are allowed only to be green in colour. All line markings on the pitch form part of the area which they define. For example, a ball on or above the touchline is still on the field of play, and a foul committed over the line bounding the penalty area results in a penalty. Kevin John Nicholson (born 2 October 1980) is an English former professional footballer who is currently assistant manager of Exeter City. Playing career Born in Derby, Nicholson began his career as a trainee with Sheffield Wednesday, turning professional in August 1998. His first team debut came on 28 August 2000 when he replaced Andy Hinchcliffe as a first-half substitute in Wednesday's 1–1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers. Plainmoor is an association football stadium located in the Plainmoor suburb of Torquay, Devon, England. Since 1921, the stadium has been the home of Torquay United Football Club, who currently compete in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. The 2015–16 National League season (known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons) was the first season under the new title of National League, the twelfth season consisting of three divisions and the thirty-seventh season overall. The National League covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England.
