Nasty Girl (Nitty Song)
"Nasty Girl" is a song by American rapper Nitty. It is the third track on his second studio album, '' Player's Paradise'' (2005), and was released as the album's second single on August 30, 2004. Despite failing to enter the top 75 in the United States, it reached number one in Australia for two weeks and peaked within the top 40 in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. It received a platinum sales certification in Australia and a gold certification in the US. Composition There are four verses, including three similar verses and a different final verse. The chorus of the song is an interpolation of the 1969 hit song "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. Music video The music video features Nitty driving a red Cadillac convertible to a gas station. Frank Ross (born December 23, 1977), better known by his stage name Nitty, is an American hip hop recording artist from The Bronx, New York. He is perhaps best known for his single " Nasty Girl" and his pop rap style of hip hop, which he calls "playboy rap". Career His singles include " Nasty Girl" and "Hey Bitty", the former reaching No. 1 in sales in the United States in October 2004, and also debuting at No. 1 in Australia in 2005. The following album, '' Player's Paradise'', was released in 2005. In an interview with the former Australian music television show ''So Fresh'', Nitty explained that he did not want to jump into rap as a mean, edgy type of rapper that is the current trend, but more of a nice-guy rapper, with lighthearted songs and videos. A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. Rhythmic contemporary, also known as Rhythmic Top 40, Rhythmic CHR or rhythmic crossover, is a primarily American music-radio format that includes a mix of EDM, upbeat rhythmic pop, hip hop and upbeat R&B hits.
