Rear Admiral Nassar Ikram, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, HI(M), Sitara-e-Imtiaz, SI(M) was a Two-star admiral, two-star rank admiral in the Pakistan Navy, who is currently serving as Chancellor (education), Vice chancellor of University of Central Punjab. Career He joined Pakistan Navy in 1979 and was commissioned Weapon Engineering branch in December 1983 winning the coveted Sword of Honour (Pakistan), sword of Honor. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Pakistan Navy Engineering College with distinction in 1985, then affiliated with NED University, Karachi. Admiral did his Weapon Engineering Application Course from UK in 1989 with distinction. The Sitara-e-Imtiaz () also spelled as Sitara-i-Imtiaz, is the third-highest (in the order of "Imtiaz") honour and Civil decorations of Pakistan, civilian award in the State of Pakistan. Rear admiral is a senior naval flag officer rank, equivalent to a major general and air vice marshal and above that of a commodore and captain, but below that of a vice admiral. The Sword of Honour ( ur, ) is an honorary sword awarded to that "Gentleman Cadet", "Officer Cadet", "Aviation Cadet" or "Lady Cadet" who achieves an overall best performance during his or her entire training period at the Pakistan Military Academy at Kakul, the Pakistan Air Force Academy at Risalpur, or the Pakistan Naval Academy at Karachi. The award of a Sword of Honour is regarded as a significant honour by the officers of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and many cadets aspire to win it.
