Narin, County Donegal
Narin (), also Naran, is a small seaside village and townland in the parish of Ardara on the southwest coast of County Donegal, Ireland. The topography is rough rolling bogland and craggy low hills. Narin Strand is a sand beach approximately two kilometres long. Inishkeel island is located approximately 250 metres from the mainland in Gweebarra Bay and can be reached on foot at low tide by crossing a tidal sand bank. The population of Narin is spread sparsely around the countryside in mostly modern housing. There is a large tourist trade served by several bed and breakfasts and caravan parks. Local amenities consist of a pub, caravan park shop and public toilets. There is also an 18-hole golf links with club house. Narin lies at an altitude of 12 metres and lies 8 km north of Ardara, 11 km northwest of Glenties and 13 km south of Dungloe. Nahrin District
Nahrin ( fa, نهرین) is a district in the central part of Baghlan province in Afghanistan. To the west lie the major towns of Baghlan and Puli Khumri. The district centre is Nahrin. The population of the district was estimated to be around 57,509 in 2004, of which 60% are Tajiks, 35% Pashtun and 5% Uzbeks. 2002 earthquakes On 25 March 2002, a major earthquake shook Nahrin District, causing significant loss of life and enormous damage to infrastructure and water resources. The earthquake measured 5.9 on the Richter scale with the epicentre almost directly on Nahrin City, at the relatively shallow depth of 33 km. A second earthquake hit Nahrin on 12 April 2002. More damage was brought to an already devastated area of Nahrin City, while at the same time heavily damaging several additional villages. The region also experienced three years of ruinous drought. Narin Yakut (born 26 April 2004) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a defender for Fatih Karagümrük in the Turkish Women's Super League, and the Turkey women's national team. Early years Before schooling, Yakut played football with older boys on the street, positioned as goalkeeper. In the primary school and middle school, she performed athletics, running in the 100 m event. She won several medals in the youth and junior categories. After getting more interested in football, she entered the school girls' football team in the middle school.
