Narasimha (2001 Film)
''Narasimha'' is a 2001 Indian Tamil action film directed by Thirupathisamy, which features Vijayakanth in the lead role. The film has an ensemble supporting cast including Isha Koppikar, Raghuvaran, Nassar, Anandaraj, Ranjith, Rahul Dev, and Vadivelu. The soundtrack for the film was composed by Mani Sharma, and the cinematography was done by S. K. Boopathy. The film was released on 13 July 2001. Plot After the death of their terrorist leader Wasim Khan, the new leader Rasool Akhtar (Rahul Dev) wants to destroy India. After kidnapping 20 Indian soldiers, Akhtar brutally kills them. He also brainwashed the orphan child Sher Khan (Master Akilesh). Meanwhile, Narasimha (Vijayakanth) breaks the tight security around a CBI office building in New Delhi and successfully plants a bomb there. Thirupathisamy
Thirupathisamy was an Indian film director, known for his works in Telugu cinema and Tamil cinema. After making his debut in 1998 with the successful ''Ganesh'', he has gone on to make other box office hits including '' Azad'' and ''Narasimha''. He died in a car accident in Chennai in June 2001. Early life Tirupathisami, hailed from an ordinary family in Vannarpet, Chennai. He graduated with master of law from the Ambethkar College. He began his career as a journalist with Ananda Vikatan. Thyagu (born 5 February 1958) is an Indian actor and comedian who appears in Tamil films. He is the grandson of violinist Kumbakonam Rajamanickam Pillai.
