Namik Glacier
Namik Glacier is situated in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state in India. Geography The glacier is situated on the Kumaon Himalayas at an altitude of . This glacier is the source of the Ramganga River. The glacier is surrounded by the following peaks: Nanda Devi , Nanda Kot , and Trishuli . The glacier falls on ancient Indo-Tibet trade route. It is trekking from Liti and situated at the villages of Gogina and Namik. There are a number of waterfalls and sulphur springs originating around this glacier. Namık Kemal Dungeon
Namık Kemal Dungeon ( tr, Namık Kemal Zindanı) is a historical building in Famagusta, Cyprus, known for being the abode of influential Turkish writer Namık Kemal between 1873 and 1876. The site of the building was originally part of the Palazzo del Provveditore (Venetian Palace), the building as it currently stands was built during the Ottoman era. The building has two floors, with its lower floor carrying displaying pre-Ottoman architecture and its upper floor being distinctly Ottoman in style. Archaeologist Tuncer Bağışkan has identified the pre-Ottoman style as Lusignan. The building is in an L-shape and whilst the lower floor is made of ashlar, the upper floor was built using the Baghdadi technique. On 5 April 1873, when Namık Kemal's play ''Vatan Yahut Silistre'' was played in the Gedik Pasha Theater in Constantinople, he was seen as a potential revolutionary and a threat by Sultan Abdülaziz and exiled to Cyprus. The Namık Kemal House Museum ( tr, ) is a historic house museum in Tekirdağ, northwestern Turkey devoted to the life and works of Namık Kemal (1840–1888), Turkish nationalist poet. It is a rebuilt 19th-century house, which was transformed 1993 into a museum. Building The house was rebuilt in 1992 with donations made by local official and charitable organizations. It is a three level house in Ottoman architectural style designed after the still standing, old houses in the direct neighborhood.* The house, situated on a hill, is encircled by a large garden with walls. A big garden gate opens to the street in front of the house, named after him, Namık Kemal Caddesi. In the garden, there is a small open air theater with stage and audience space. Famagusta Namık Kemal High School
Famagusta Namık Kemal High School is a secondary school located in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus. It was founded in 1944. Many famous Cypriots have graduated from Famagusta Namık Kemal High School. History As the first Turkish Cypriot secondary education institution in Famagusta, the school was initially founded as the Famagusta Middle School ( tr, Mağusa Ortaokulu) in 1944. It was initially a single room appended to the Gazi Primary School building. On opening, the school had 60 students. Once it reached 72 students in 1945, it moved to its own separate building; in 1949, it moved to the Kutup Osman Tekke building. The British colonial government of the time provided the monetary resources required to expand middle schools with a further three year groups, thus establishing high schools in the process. Namık Kemal High School ( tr, Namık Kemal Lisesi) is a public funded Anatolian high school in İzmir, Turkey. It was founded in 1853 as a rüştiye and became a lise in 1922. Located at the north of Kültürpark, it is a historic high school. History Firstly, it was decided to build the structure in 1909 by increase of number of the students of the Rum Evanjelik Mektebi and its construction plot was purchased with gathering the funds. Then, the building which is known as Namık Kemal High School was started building. However, its construction was stopped by Balkan Wars and the First World War. Afterwards, construction was started again in 1919–1922 while Greek government was in the saddle.
