Nakuru Athletic Club is a sports club located in Nakuru capital of Rift Valley Province, Kenya. The club also has a cricket team playing in the Rift Valley cricket league. Nakuru is a city in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya, Rift Valley region of Kenya. It is the capital of Nakuru County, and was formerly the capital of Rift Valley Province. Rift Valley Province ( sw, Mkoa wa Bonde la Ufa) of Kenya, bordering Uganda, was one of Kenya's eight provinces, before the Kenyan general election, 2013. Rift Valley Province was the largest and one of the most economically important provinces in Kenya. It was dominated by the Kenya Rift Valley which passes through it and gives the province its name. The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. Nakuru Rugby Football Club also known as 'Wanyore' is a Kenyan rugby club based in Nakuru. It has played for several years in the Kenya Cup and Eric Shirley Shield leagues run by the Kenya Rugby Football Union. Nakuru RFC operates and trains at the Nakuru Athletic Club Grounds in Nakuru. They play at the 2,000-capacity Nakuru Stadium. Nakuru Rugby Football Club is the most successful club out of Nairobi and one of the upcountry rugby teams that participates in Kenya Cup (the league) alongside Kisumu, Eldoret, Western Bulls, Kabras and Mombasa. The Nakuru AllStars are a Kenyan association football club based in Nakuru. They currently compete in the Nakuru County League the Kenyan Fifth division after their relegation from the National Super League in 2018 and ceding their position in the Division One after suffering financial difficulties. The club was reformed and created as a continuation of the former Nakuru AllStars, who won the Kenya National Football League in 1963 and 1969. Afraha Stadium
The Afraha Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nakuru, Kenya. It used mostly for association football, football matches and is the home stadium of Nakuru AllStars of the Kenyan Premier League and Ulinzi Stars of the Kenyan Premier League.
