Naif (band)
Naif was an Indonesian rock band from Jakarta formed in 1995. The band consisted of David Bayu Danangjaya (vocals), Fajar Endra Taruna Mangkudisastro (guitar & backing vocals), Franki Indrasmoro Sumbodo (drums), and Mohammad Amil Hussein (bass & backing vocals). They were known for their retro sound and style. Two of their songs, "Mobil Balap" ("Racecar") and "Posesif" ("Possessive"), were listed by ''Rolling Stone Indonesia'' in its 2009 list of the best Indonesian songs of all time. The band disbanded in 2021 after exactly 25 years. Ismail Marzuki
Ismail Marzuki (also known as Bang Ma'ing; 11 May 1914 – 25 May 1958) was an Indonesian composer, songwriter and musician who wrote around 202 to 240 songs between 1931 and 1958, including numerous popular patriotic songs. Among his best-known works are "Halo, Halo Bandung", "Gugur Bunga", and " Rayuan Pulau Kelapa". In 1968, he was honoured with the creation of the well-known ''Taman Ismail Marzuki'' (the Ismail Marzuki Park, often called ''TIM'') which is a cultural centre in Menteng in central Jakarta. ''Dekade'' (; en, Decade) is a 2002 Indonesian pop album published by Musica Studios and Chrisye's nineteenth studio album. It is also his only cover album. Creation The idea for ''Dekade'' came when Chrisye thought about previously popular songs that were later forgotten. Believing that all genres of modern music draw inspiration from the past, he spoke with Erwin Gutawa, who agreed that they should make a tribute to the history of Indonesian pop music. Ibu Pertiwi is a popular Indonesian patriotic song composed by Kamsidi Samsuddin in 1908. The song's lyrics are about Ibu Pertiwi, the national personification of Indonesia (also interpreted as "mother country"). It is normally sung by Indonesian children, elementary and secondary school students, or played during Indonesian Independence Day celebrations. ''Ruma Maida'' (released internationally as ''Maida's House'') is a 2009 Indonesian film written by Ayu Utami, directed by Teddy Soeriaatmadja and starring Atiqah Hasiholan, , Nino Fernandez, and Frans Tumbuan. It details a woman's struggle to save a historic house from a developer; it also shows the life of the house's original owner.
