Naga Students' Federation
The Naga Students' Federation (NSF; ) is the largest representative body for students of the Naga people. It was established on 29 October 1947. History On 7 May 1947, student leaders from Angami Naga, Angami, Ao Naga, Ao, Lotha Naga, Lotha, Sümi Naga, Sümi gathered at Kohima and decided to have the inaugural session of the Naga Students' Federation on 17 May 1947. However, the proposed meeting could only be held from 29 to 30 October 1947 whereby NSF came into being under the Chairmanship of Z. Ahu. The second session of the Naga Students' Federation was held in Mokokchung from 13 to 15 October 1948. However, after the second session the NSF went defunct for 17 years due to the rising Ethnic conflict in Nagaland, Naga political crisis and the imposition of Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, Army Rule in the Naga Hills. Mokokchung
Mokokchung (Pron: /ˌməʊkɒkˈtʃʌŋ/) is a municipality in the Mokokchung District of Nagaland, India. It serves as the district headquarters as well as the main urban hub of Mokokchung District. Mokokchung is the cultural nerve centre of the Ao people and is economically and politically the most important urban centre in northern Nagaland. The town is made up of 16 wards of which Kumlong, Sangtemla, Alempang and Yimyu are the largest. The Naga Students' Union, Delhi (NSUD) is the apex student body of the Nagas living in Delhi. With over 40,000 members spread across the National Capital Region (NCR), it is one of the biggest students’ organisations in Delhi.
