Nafaa Sariak (born 29 November 1994) is an Algerian weightlifter. He represented Algeria at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco and he won the bronze medal in the men's 73kg event. African Games
The African Games, formally known as the All-Africa Games or the Pan African Games, are a continental multi-sport event held every four years, organized by the African Union (AU) with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC). All of the competing nations are from the African continent. The first Games were held in 1965 in Brazzaville, Congo. The International Olympic Committee granted official recognition as a continental multi-sport event, along with the Asian Games and Pan American Games. Since 1999, the Games have also included athletes with a disability. The Supreme Council for Sport in Africa (SCSA) was the organisation body for the game. Weightlifting At The 2019 African Games
Weightlifting at the 2019 African Games was held from 25 to 30 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. The event served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. 2019 African Games
The 12th African Games was held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. This was the first time that the African Games were hosted by Morocco following the country's readmission to the African Union in January 2017. Bidding process The 12th African Games was schedule in September 2019. Accra, Nairobi and Lusaka announced that they would bid for these Games, but none of them were selected. Malabo, Equatorial Guinea was initially chosen to organise the 2019 African Games at the Second Ordinary Session of the Specialist Technical Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports, which was held at the headquarters of the African Union, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 13 to 17 June 2016. However, Equatorial Guinea was unable to host the Games due to economic problems. Lusaka, the capital of Zambia was later speculated to host the Games but refused, citing lack of facilities.
