Nadiya Denisovna Babych ( uk, Бабич Надія Денисівна; 29 December 1943 – 12 April 2021) was a Ukrainian linguist, journalist, and philologist. A faculty member of her Alma mater, Chernivtsi University, she was the author of approximately 280 texts (prefaces to publications, scientific articles and reviews) on stylistics, the culture of language, rhetoric, phraseology, history of language, sociolinguistics, Ukrainian studies, inter-lingual and intercultural contacts and the history of pedagogy in Bukovina. Nadiya Oleksiyivna Svitlychna ( uk, Наді́я Олексі́ївна Світли́чна, born 8 November 1936, the village of Polovynkyno, Starobilsk district, Luhansk region — 8 August 2006, Irvington, New Jersey, United States) was a Ukrainian dissident and human rights activist, and an active member of the Ukrainian Helsinki group. Nadiya Volodymyrivna Tkachenko ( uk, Надія Володимирівна Ткаченко) or Nadezhda Vladimirovna Tkachenko (russian: Надежда Владимировна Ткаченко) (born 19 September 1948) is a Ukrainian former pentathlete who won gold at the 1980 Olympics. She was born in Kremenchuk, then in the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union, and took up pentathlon aged 18 training at the Vanguard Voluntary Sports Societies of the Soviet Union in Donetsk Oblast.
