''Nadhiyai Thedi Vandha Kadal'' () is a 1980 Tamil language film. The directorial debut of B. Lenin, it starred Jayalalithaa in the lead role, opposite actor Sarath Babu. It was the last Tamil film to release with Jayalalithaa in the lead role. The film is based on the novel written by Maharishi. Maharishi (writer)
Maharishi is the pseudonym of T.K. Balasubramanian, a Tamil writer from Tamil Nadu, India. Many of his novels were made into films including the film Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri (1977). Maharishi was born in Tanjore, but settled in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He worked as a clerk in the TNEB. His first novel ''Panimalai'' was made as film titled Ennathan Mudivu in 1965. Panchu Arunachalam
Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle. He also worked as a lyricist in the Tamil cinema industry. He started producing films under his production banner named P. A. Arts. His son Subbu Panchu Arunachalam is an actor and dubbing artist in the Tamil film industry. Rama Prabha is an Indian actress who performs in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She has acted in more than 1,400 films and is credited as a character artist who shared screen space with superstars across all generation of South Indian Cinema with a career spanning over six decades. Sathyam Babu Dixithulu (born 31 July 1951), known by his stage name Sarath Babu, is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He has worked in more than 200 films. Jameela Malik (1945/1946 – 28 January 2020) was an Indian actress in south Indian movies. She acted in Malayalam and Tamil films in the 1970s and 1980s.
