Nacajuca Municipality
Nacajuca Municipality is a municipality in Tabasco in south-eastern Mexico. The seat is Nacajuca. The municipality is located in the north of the state of Tabasco in the Chontalpa region, bordering the municipalities of Jalpa de Méndez, Centla, Centro and Cunduacán. Its territory measures 488,37km2 or 2.1% of the state, ranking 13th out of 17 municipalities in size. There are 72 total communities, which include one city (the seat), eleven communities, 28 ranches, fourteen ejidos, three congregations and three rural subdivisions. It has six regional development centers in which most of the area's economic and social activities are concentrated: Lomitas, Sandial, Taxco, Oxiacaque, Guatacalca and Mazateupa. The municipal government consists of a municipal president, a treasurer, two secretaries, ten representatives called regidores and nine departments. Nacajuca
Nacajuca is a city in Nacajuca Municipality in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. It is part of the Chontalapa region in the north center of the state and a major center of Tabasco's Chontal Maya population. Although the local economy is still based on agriculture and livestock, oil production, handcrafts and some tourism are important aspects as well. The environment of the area is low-lying flat land susceptible to flooding including being hard hit by the 2007 Tabasco flood and more recent flooding in 2011. Jalpa de Méndez is a city in Jalpa de Méndez Municipality located in the north of the state of Tabasco, Mexico.
