The Naab is formed by the confluence of the Waldnaab and the Haidenaab in Luhe-Wildenau, south of Weiden in der Oberpfalz. It flows generally south, through the towns Nabburg, Schwandorf and Burglengenfeld. It flows into the Danube near Regensburg. Schwandorf
Schwandorf is a town in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany, which is the seat of the Schwandorf (district), Schwandorf district. It lies on the river Naab. Geography Geographical location Schwandorf is located at the intersection of four depressions in the Schwandorf Bay in the southern Upper Palatinate Forest. The Upper Palatinate Lake District borders the city area. The Naab River runs through the city area from north to south. The Waldnaab (; ; , in its upper course: ''Tirschenreuther Waldnaab'') is the left-hand, eastern and longest headstream of the Naab, River Naab in the Upper Palatinate (Bavaria, Germany). Haidenaab
The Haidenaab is the right and western headstream of the River Naab in the Upper Palatinate in the south German state of Bavaria. At its confluence with the Waldnaab near Luhe-Wildenau, the Naab is formed. Course The river rises in the district of Bayreuth on the southern edge of the Fichtel Mountains between Kirchenpingarten and the mountain of ''Platte'' (), about seven kilometres north of Speichersdorf. From there the ''Haidenaab'' heads in a southeasterly direction before reaching the district of Tirschenreuth by the Renaissance castle of Schlackenhof, where it is joined from the northwest by the ''Flernitzbach''. Kallmünz
Kallmünz is a municipality in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. Located on Naab River about 25 km north of Regensburg, Kallmünz has preserved a beautiful medieval center. The main attractions are the ruins of the Kallmünz Castle above the town on a cliff and the old stone bridge over the Naab River.
