Ndu, Cameroon
Ndu is a town and commune in Donga-Mantung, a division in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. It lies at the northeast edge of the Bamenda Grassfields, on the eastern arc of the Ring Road.Map of Cameroon - Nkambe. It is the highest elevation town in Cameroon. About 85,000 people live in Ndu commune. Most are Wimbum - the three clans which speak the Limbum language. Ndu commune contains the southeast part of Wimbum-land, including the villages of Talla, Ngarum, Taku, Ntundip, Luh, Ndu-town, Mbipgo, Njimkang, Njilah, Wowo, Sehn, Ntumbaw, Njirong, Ngulu, Nseh Macop, Sinna and Sop.Ndu. Nkambe Central commune contains the rest of Wimbum-land. Most Wimbum are farmers, raising maize, beans, potatoes, yams, njama-njama, tomatoes, coffee, plantains, and rice. Ndu Languages
The Ndu languages are the best known family of the Sepik languages of East Sepik Province in northern Papua New Guinea. ''Ndu'' is the word for 'man' in the languages that make up this group. The languages were first identified as a related family by Kirschbaum in 1922. Along with the Arapesh languages, Ndu languages are among the best documented languages in the Sepik basin, with comprehensive grammars available for many languages. A diagnostic innovative feature in the Ndu languages is the replacement of the proto-Sepik pronoun *wun ‘I’ with proto-Ndu *an ~ *na. Languages Abelam is the most populous language, with about 45,000 speakers, though Iatmül is better known to the outside world. The National Distribution Union (NDU) was a national trade union in New Zealand. It was formed in 1986 as the ''Northern Distribution Union'' by the merger of The Northern Drivers Union, The Northern Stores and Warehouse Union, The Auckland and Gisborne Shop Employee Union, and The Northern Butchers and Grocers Union. A further merging of seven South Island unions led to the renaming to the National Distribution Union, the union's final name before its 2011 amalgamation into First Union New Zealand. National Democratic Youth ( sv, Nationaldemokratisk Ungdom, ''NDU'') was the youth organization of the now-defunct Swedish political party National Democrats ( sv, Nationaldemokraterna).
