Mónika Kovacsicz
Mónika Kovacsicz (formerly Monika Kovačičová; born 20 November 1983) is a retired Hungarian handballer of Slovakia, Slovak descent. Her first major international tournament was the 2005 World Women's Handball Championship, 2005 World Championship, where she finished third with the Hungarian team. She was at another World Championship (2007) and took part in three European Championships (2006, 2008, 2010). She also competed at the Handball at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, capturing a fourth place. Kovacsicz won the EHF Women's Champions League, Champions League with Viborg in EHF Women's Champions League 2008/09, 2009. Komárno
Komárno, ( hu, Komárom, german: Komorn, sr, Коморан, translit=Komoran), colloquially also called ''Révkomárom, Öregkomárom, Észak-Komárom'' in Hungarian language, Hungarian; is a town in Slovakia at the confluence of the Danube and the Váh rivers. Historically it was formed by the "old town" on the left bank of Danube, present day Komárno in Slovakia, and by a "new town" on the right bank, present day Komárom in Hungary, which were historically one administrative unit. Following World War I and the Treaty of Trianon, the border of the newly created Czechoslovakia cut the historical, unified town in half, creating two new independent towns in two countries. Komárno and Komárom are connected by the Elisabeth Bridge, which used to be an official border crossing between Slovakia and Hungary until border checks were lifted due to the Schengen Area rules. Regina Zygmanto Kalinichenko (née Shymkute, born 21 December 1985) is a Ukrainian-Russian former handballer playing for Rostov-Don. She announced her retirement in May 2020. Personal life Regina was born on 21 December 1985 in Kherson, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union to a Lithuanian father and an ethnic Russian mother. Isabel María Ortuño Torrico (born 16 March 1982) is a former Spanish handballer, who have been capped for the Spanish national team. Ortuño was born in Elda, Spain, and competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where she finished sixth with the Spanish women's handball team, after losing 29–38 to Hungary in the placement match. The Women's EHF European League is an annual competition for women's handball clubs of Europe. It is organized by the European Handball Federation, EHF. It is currently the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the Women's EHF Champions League, EHF Champions League. Danish Women's Handball Cup
The Danish Women's Handball Cup ( da, DHF's Landspokalturnering), known as the Santander Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the main domestic cup tournament for Danish women's handball clubs, which is partially organised and supervised by the Danish Handball Federation. The competition has been played annually since 1964. Tournament structure The initial 6 rounds are managed by the three regional federations with the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. It ultimately results in a final four event scheduled between Christmas and New Year. The winner of the tournament qualify for the annual Super Cup held during the summer where they meet the season's league winner. If the same team wins both the league and the cup, the losing cup finalist will participate as the second team in the Super Cup. The Danish Women's Handball League ( da, Damehåndboldligaen) is the top professional league for Denmark, Danish women's Team handball, handball clubs. It is administered by the Danish Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Danish champions. The league is officially called Bambusa Kvindeligaen for sponsorship reasons.
