Mílton Barros
Mílton Lourenço Rosa Barros (born 21 June 1984) is an Angolan professional basketball player. He is also a member of the Angola national basketball team. He is in height and 86 kg (190 pounds) in weight. Internationally, Barros has represented Angola on several occasions, including the 2006 Lusophony Games, 2006 FIBA World Championship, FIBA Africa Championship 2007, 2007 African Championship and the Basketball at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics. He is married to former Team handball, handball player Elzira Tavares and a brother of Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, Petro Atlético football player Manucho Barros. He is currently playing for C.R.D. Libolo (basketball), Recreativo do Libolo at the Angolan major basketball league BIC Basket. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Petro Atlético Basketball
Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, commonly known as Petro de Luanda, is an Angolan basketball club based in Luanda. It competes at the local level, at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Angola National Basketball Championship. Additionally, the club plays at the continental level, at the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established in 1976, the team is part of a multi-sports club which includes a football and handball team as well. Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, also known as Petro Atlético de Luanda, or simply Petro Atlético or Petro de Luanda, is a football club from Luanda, Angola, founded in 1980. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. 2006 FIBA World Championship
The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was hosted by Japan and held from 19 August to 3 September 2006. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Japan Basketball Association (JABBA) and the 2006 Organising Committee. For the first time since 1986, the World Championship was contested by 24 nations, eight more than in 2002. 2006 Lusophony Games
The 1st Lusophone Games ( pt, 1.os Jogos da Lusofonia; ) were held in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China between 7 and 15 October 2006. The 2006 Games were the first edition of this multi-sport event for Portuguese-speaking countries and territories, under the banner of ACOLOP. The site for the opening ceremony was the Macau Stadium and the closing ceremony was held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome. The mascot for the games was a dog named Leo.
