Målselva
The Målselva is a river in Målselv Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The long river flows through the Målselvdalen valley and then empties into the Målselvfjorden, an arm of the Malangen (fjord), Malangen fjord. The municipality and the valley through which the river runs are both named after the river. The smaller rivers Divielva, Tamokelva, and Rostaelva converge near the Lille Rostavatn lake to form the Målselva river. Later, the river Barduelva joins it near Fossmoen and Bardufoss. Malangen (fjord)
Malangen or Malangsfjorden ( sme, Málatvuotna and fkv, Malankivuono) is a fjord in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The long fjord runs through the municipalities of Balsfjord, Målselv, Senja, and Tromsø. The fjord runs southeast between the islands of Senja and Kvaløya and further into the mainland along the border between Balsfjord and Lenvik municipalities. The fjord stretches from Hekkingen Lighthouse off the coast of the island of Senja to the village of Nordfjordbotn. In the inner part of the fjord, it branches out into four smaller fjords: Nordfjorden, Aursfjorden, Målselvfjorden, and Rossfjorden. The Målselva river feeds into the Målselvfjorden. There are several larger villages along the coast of the fjord, including Mortenhals, Mestervik, and Rossfjordstraumen. The river flows from the lake Altevatnet northwest to the town of Setermoen, then north to the municipal border with Målselv (with the river forming part of the border) before finally emptying into the river Målselva, just outside the village of Bardufoss and the Bardufoss Airport. Bardufoss is a town and commercial centre in Målselv Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The three villages of Andselv, Andslimoen, and Heggelia together form the Bardufoss area.
