Mâconnais Beaujolais Agglomération is the ''communauté d'agglomération'', an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Mâcon. It is located in the Saône-et-Loire and Ain departments, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, eastern France. Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (ARA; ; frp, Ôvèrgne-Rôno-Ârpes; oc, Auvèrnhe Ròse Aups; it, Alvernia-Rodano-Alpi) is a region in southeast-central France created by the 2014 territorial reform of French regions; it resulted from the merger of Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes. The new region came into effect on 1 January 2016, after the regional elections in December 2015.
