Myroslav Dumanskyi
Myroslav Dumanskyi ( uk, Мирослав Іванович Думанський, 17 June 1929 – 1 April 1996) was a Soviet, and later Ukrainian, football player and coach. Born in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, he played for numerous Soviet teams, until his retirement as a player in 1963. From then he became a coach, first in the Soviet leagues, and then in the independent Ukrainian league; he continued to coach until his death in 1996. In 1956 Dumanskyi played a game for Ukraine at the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR. Myroslav Ivan Lubachivsky ( uk, Мирослав Іван Любачівський; 24 June 1914, Dolyna, Austria-Hungary – 14 December 2000, Lviv, Ukraine), cardinal, was bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia in the United States and from 1984 major archbishop of Lviv and head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC). Life He was ordained a priest of the Archeparchy of Lviv in 1938 by Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and then continued his doctoral studies in theology in Austria. After World War II, he was unable to return to Ukraine and emigrated to the United States, where he continued his pastoral work, first as a priest at St. Peter and Paul Church in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning in 1949, and then from 1968 as a teacher at the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Seminary in Washington. Myroslav Frankovych Marynovych ( uk, Миросла́в Фра́нкович Марино́вич, born 4 January 1949, Komarovychi, Staryi Sambir Raion) is a vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, social activist, co-founder of Amnesty International Ukraine, and a founding member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group. Biography Early life Marynovych was born on January 4, 1949, in the village of Komarovychi of Starosambirsky district of Drohobych Oblast (now Lviv Oblast). His grandfather was a priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and his family was very religious. In Drohobych he attended high school, which graduated with a gold medal. Myroslav Dmytrovych "Miro" Slavov ( uk, Мирослав Дмитрович Славов; born 8 September 1990) is a Ukrainian football forward. Career Slavov was born in Kyiv, in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union. After emigration from Ukraine together with his parents, he played for youth teams of different Austrian clubs.
