Myrkskog
Myrkskog is a death metal band formed in 1993 from Drammen, Norway. History Their music consists of high speed double-bass with rapid blastbeats and fills. Guitars are made up of harmonic tremolo picking and sometimes power chords with fast solos composed by Destructhor who, along with Secthdamon, were members in Zyklon. Their debut album ''Deathmachine'' is a hybrid of black metal and death metal. Their second album ''Superior Massacre'' is much more death metal-oriented with more prominent bass-lines and less tremolo picked riffs. The name 'Myrkskog' is a translation of the Norwegian word for 'Mirkwood'. Destructhor joined Morbid Angel in 2008 and departed in 2015. Secthdamon, since 2005 is a live member for Emperor. The current line-up is guitarist/vocalist Destructhor, guitarist/backing vocalist Secthdamon, bassist Demariel (or ''Gortheon'') and drummer Dominator. Destructhor
Thor Anders Myhren (born 8 March 1978), better known as Destructhor, is a Norwegian musician and composer, currently the vocalist and guitarist for metal band Myrkskog and guitarist for black metal band Nordjevel. He is also the former guitarist for bands Morbid Angel and Zyklon. He joined Morbid Angel in 2008 and departed in 2015. He has worked as a live guitarist with 1349 including Inferno festival in 2008 and 2015. Zyklon
Zyklon was a Norwegian blackened death metal band formed in 1998 by Samoth and Trym of Emperor, along with members of Myrkskog. Their style has been described as modern death metal with black and industrial undertones. Candlelight Records
Candlelight Records is a British record label based in England and founded by former Extreme Noise Terror bassist Lee Barrett, though it has had a division in the United States since January 2001. Candlelight Records specialises in black metal, and later on melodic death metal and death metal, having bands such as Emperor, Obituary, 1349, Theatre of Tragedy, Xerath, Dismember, Keep of Kalessin, Nachtmystium and Zyklon on its roster.
