Myriam Da Silva (born April 15, 1984) is a Canadian boxer. Da Silva competes in the 69 kg (welterweight category). Career Da Silva has competed at four editions of the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships, finishing in the top 16 in 2012 and 2014, and then followed by a quarterfinals position in 2018 and again a top 16 in 2019. Chambly is an off-island suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located in the Montérégie region, inland from the South Shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Canada competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the nation's debut in 1900, Canadian athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the country's support for United States-led boycott.
