Myriam Cyr is a Canadian actress and writer. As an actress she is best known for her roles as Claire Clairmont in the 1986 horror film ''Gothic (film), Gothic'' and Ultra Violet (Isabelle Collin Dufresne), Ultra Violet in the 1996 biopic ''I Shot Andy Warhol''. In 2006 she published the non-fiction work ''Letters of a Portuguese Nun: Uncovering the Mystery Behind a 17th Century Forbidden Love''. Clara Mary Jane Clairmont (27 April 1798 – 19 March 1879), or Claire Clairmont as she was commonly known, was the stepsister of the writer Mary Shelley and the mother of Lord Byron's daughter Allegra. She is thought to be the subject of a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
