Myra Morris
Myra Morris (15 May 1893 – 18 August 1966) was an Australian poet, novelist, and writer for children. Life and writing career Morris was born in the Victorian country town of Boort. Her English born father owned a series of grocery and produce stores in country towns and Morris spent her youth in a number of different locations. She attended school at Rochester Brigidine Convent and was encouraged to write by an English teacher there. Morris began publishing poetry and short stories in various Australian newspapers and magazines in her early twenties, and her first volume of poetry ''England and Other Verses'' appeared in 1918. This was followed by her first novel for children in 1922, and her first for adults in 1929. She travelled to England in 1930, returning to settle with her family in Frankston on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria where she remained for the rest of her life. In 1928 E. M. Boort () is a town in Victoria, Australia, located next to Lake Boort, in the Shire of Loddon. The town is known for its native birdlife. Boort is a local Aboriginal word meaning "Smoke from the hill". Main sources of employment are retail, olive processing and tourism. Agriculture is a major industry and employer in the Boort region. Frankston is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Frankston local government area. Frankston recorded a population of 37,331 at the 2021 census. Due to its geographic location north of the Mornington Peninsula, it is often referred to as "the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula". Paget's Disease Of The Bone
Paget's disease of bone (commonly known as Paget's disease or, historically, osteitis deformans) is a condition involving cellular remodeling and deformity of one or more bones. The affected bones show signs of dysregulated bone remodeling at the microscopic level, specifically excessive bone breakdown and subsequent disorganized new bone formation. These structural changes cause the bone to weaken, which may result in deformity, pain, fracture or arthritis of associated joints. The exact cause is unknown, although leading theories indicate both genetic and acquired factors (see Causes). Paget's disease may affect any one or several bones of the body (most commonly pelvis, tibia, femur, lumbar vertebrae, and skull), but never the entire skeleton, and does not spread from bone to bone.
