Myname ( ko, 마이네임; stylized as MYNAME) is a South Korean boy group created by Fly to the Sky's Hwanhee under H2 Media. The group is composed of five members: Gunwoo, Insoo, Seyong, Jun.Q, and Chaejin. The group debuted on October 27, 2011 with their digital single "Message". History Pre-debut While in middle school, Seyong was recruited as a trainee under JYP Entertainment in 2007, where he trained for three years. He left the company due to "personal issues" and later joined his current agency. Seyong then went on to star in the KBS drama ''I Believe in Love''. Insoo auditioned for ''Superstar K2'' in 2010. ''We Are Myname'' (stylized ''WE ARE MYNAME'') is the debut Japanese studio album by South Korean idol group Myname. It was released by YM3D on March 27, 2013. Musically, the record is filled with dance music and balladry. Initially debuting in its home country, the group re-recorded its debut single and released " Message (Japanese ver.)" as its first single in Japan. Myname released " What's Up" as its second single, an original song. Leading up to the album, "Replay (Japanese ver.)" and "We Are the Night" were made available on online music stores. ''We Are Myname'' was released in three editions: Regular Edition, Limited Edition, and Limited Chara-Ani Edition. It went on to debut at number three on Japan's national Oricon Albums Chart. Kim Se-yong (; born November 20, 1991) is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actor. Signed to H2 Media, he made his debut with idol quintet Myname in 2011. Kim began his acting career two years prior, appearing on the television series ''Green Coach''. He released his first mini-album ''Connection'' independent from Myname in Japan in May 2019. Born in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, he was an aspiring singer in his adolescence and applied to the Department of Theater and Film in high school, but majored in dance following the denial of his initial application.
