Mylo
Myles MacInnes (born 10 May 1978), better known by his stage name Mylo, is a Scottish electronic musician and record producer. His 2004 album '' Destroy Rock & Roll'' peaked at number 26 in the UK Albums Chart. He is best known for his 2005 single " Doctor Pressure", a mashup of his own track "Drop the Pressure" and Miami Sound Machine's 1984 song "Dr. Beat"; it peaked at number 3 in the UK Singles Chart. Early life and education MacInnes was educated at Portree High School on the Isle of Skye and followed this with a scholarship at George Watson's College, a private school in Morningside, Edinburgh. After completing his Certificate of Sixth Year Studies, with one course in chemistry and four in mathematics, MacInnes gained admission and matriculated to the University of Edinburgh. Destroy Rock & Roll
''Destroy Rock & Roll'' is the first and only album by Scottish record producer and Disc jockey, DJ Mylo (real name Myles MacInnes), released in 2004. The album samples many 1970s and 1980s soft rock songs that Mylo heard on the radio as a child. The single "In My Arms (Mylo song), In My Arms" combines hits by Kim Carnes and Boy Meets Girl (band), Boy Meets Girl. The Destroy Rock & Roll (song), title track samples a fundamentalist Christian sermon, while "Drop the Pressure" is based around a vocal recording made by Mylo himself and edited with a vocoder. The album was re-released in 2005, and peaked at number 26 on the UK Albums Chart. The re-released contained a new remix of "Drop the Pressure", called "Doctor Pressure" (vs. Miami Sound Machine), which was also a number 3 single. "Doctor Pressure" is a song by Mylo and Miami Sound Machine, from the re-issue of Mylo's debut studio album ''Destroy Rock & Roll'' (2004). The song was written by Elias Enrique Garcia and the producer Mylo. It was released by Sony BMG and Breastfed Recordings on 5 September 2005, as the sixth single from the album. Initially created as a bootleg recording by Phil 'N' Dog, the mashup contains a sample of the songs "Drop the Pressure" and " Dr. Beat" by Mylo and Miami Sound Machine respectively. "Doctor Pressure" peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart, number five on the Irish Singles Chart, and at number 12 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. George Watson's College
George Watson's College is a co-educational independent day school in Scotland, situated on Colinton Road, in the Merchiston area of Edinburgh. It was first established as a hospital school in 1741, became a day school in 1871, and was merged with its sister school George Watson's Ladies College in 1974. Amy Winehouse
Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer and songwriter.
