Mychal Springer
Mychal Springer is a rabbi and the manager of Clinical Pastoral Education at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Education Springer earned her BA at Yale University in 1987, and she received her master's degree and rabbinic ordination at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1992. Career Springer served as associate director of the Jewish Institute for Pastoral Care at the HealthCare Chaplaincy in Manhattan. She became certified as a chaplain and as a supervisor in the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. Springer then was appointed Associate Dean and Director of Field Education of the JTS Rabbinical School for seven years. In 2009, with funding from the Charles H. Oren Rudavsky
Oren Rudavsky (born c. 1957) is an American documentary filmmaker specializing in work about individuals and communities outside the mainstream. He graduated from Oberlin College in 1979. Oren Rudavsky is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. Rudavsky is currently producing the NEH funded American Masters documentary: Joseph Pulitzer: Voice of the People. He is also working on a documentary for a program called Witness Theater, which will chronicle the relationships formed between high school students and Holocaust survivors, culminating with a dramatization of the lives of the survivors. His films Colliding Dreams co-directed with Joseph Dorman, and The Ruins of Lifta co-directed with Menachem Daum, were released theatrically in 2016. Menachem Daum
Menachem Daum is an Orthodox Jewish documentary film-maker. Born in displaced persons camp in Germany, to refugees from Poland who had survived the Holocaust. Being Jewish, many of his relatives perished in Nazi Germany's genocide. Professionally a gerontologist, he is based today in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York. He has created two documentary films, '' A Life Apart'' (1997) on Hasidim in Brooklyn, and ''Hiding and Seeking,'' (2003) a film on Polish gentiles that sheltered Jews during World War II. Through his efforts, he secured the Yad Vashem award for the family that sheltered his wife's family.
