The Myanmar men's national volleyball team is the volleyball national team of Myanmar, represents Myanmar in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. Men team grabbed gold in 1961 ,1965 ,1969 ,1975 ,1977 ,1979 and 1983 SEA Games.The highest achievement at asian games is 4th place at 1978 asian games. Aung Thu (volleyball)
Aung Thu ( my, အောင်သူ) born is a Burmese volleyball player, playing as an outside hitter. He was part of the Myanmar national volleyball team. He won the bronze medal at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games. He participated at the 2010 Asian Games and 2014 Asian Games.He also participated in Asian men u 23 volleyball championship where Myanmar finished 5th among 16 participating countries. Career Thu played with Chonburi from 2012 to 2015. In October 2018, Aung Thu signed for V.League Division 1 club Toray Arrows. Asian Men's Volleyball Championship
The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The initial gap between championships was four years, but since 1987 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Iran, which won its fourth title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1975 with the participation of seven national teams.  Japan captured the first gold. The next edition was held in 1979, were won by China and Wang Jiawei hailed as the first ever MVP of the tournament. However, in 1980s Japan managed to return at first position.
