''Mya Mya'' ( my, မြမြ) is a 2020 Burmese horror film starring Thinzar Wint Kyaw, Min Taw Win, Dee Dee, and Win Tha Pyay Tun. The film, produced by Night School Film Production and Sein Htay Film Production, premiered in Myanmar on February 6, 2020. The character Mya Mya was based on the death of a feisty Yangon factory worker and strike-organiser before her death – from further humiliation is that, while haunting the men who raped and murdered her, she does not do so half-naked. Plot The rape-revenge tale of Mya Mya was inspired by a viral Facebook video. The video features a young woman employed in a Yangon factory who, the viewer is invited to believe, is being possessed by the ghost of Mya Mya, a raped and murdered factory worker. Nyo Min Lwin ( my, ညိုမင်းလွင်; born 28 September 1979) is a Burmese film director, scriptwriter and former actor. He is best known for directing the first Myanmar LGBT film '' The Gemini'' (2016) and the first Myanmar sci-fi film ''Ananda: Rise of Notra'' (2019). His career began as an actor in Burmese films and gained success as a director in the early days of his career by directing horror films. Thinzar Wint Kyaw (also spelled Thin Zar Wint Kyaw, my, သင်ဇာဝင့်ကျော်; born 4 December 1986) is a Burmese actress and model. Thinzar was listed on ''The Myanmar Times'' "Top 10 Actor" list in 2019. Throughout her successful career, she has acted in over 500 Burmese films. Early life and education Thinzar Wint Kyaw was born on 4 December 1987 in Yangon, Myanmar. She is the second daughter in her family. She attended the East Yangon University. Career She began her career as a commercial model. After she switched her career to film from modelling, she rose to fame in the eyes of many filmography companies thereafter with a lot of acting assigns. Win Tha Pyay Tun ( my, ဝင်းသပြေထွန်း; born May Ki Ki Tun on 30 June 1985) is a prominent Burmese traditional Anyeint, anyeint dancer and actress. She has performed over 300 dance concerts in Myanmar and 17 overseas countries. In 2015, she received a gold medal from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Bauman University from Russia and was presented an honorary cultural award from the Russia Federation. Early life and family Win Tha Pyay Tun was born on 30 June 1985 in Mandalay, Myanmar. She comes from the traditional Anyeint, thabin family, all of her family member are traditional anyeint dancers and actors. Her grandparents are also anyeint dancers.
