"My Number One" is a song recorded by Greek-Swedish singer Helena Paparizou, written by Manos Psaltakis, Christos Dantis, Natalia Germanou and produced by Christos Dantis. It was the at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, held in Kyiv, awarding the country . Helena Paparizou
Helena Paparizou (; , ; born 31 January 1962) is a Swedish-born Greek singer, songwriter and television personality. Born and raised in Sweden to Greeks, Greek parents, she enrolled in various arts schools before launching a career in Sweden in 1999 as a member of the laïko (Greek folk music) and Eurodance duo Antique (band), Antique, who participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 and afterwards became popular. Antique disbanded in 2003, and Paparizou signed a solo recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Music, releasing the chart-topping debut single "Anapandites Kliseis" and album ''Protereotita'' (2004), with emphasis on laïko, pop music, pop, and dance music, dance sounds, but at first had modest sales. "Mambo!" is Helena Paparizou's fifth CD single and the first from her international album '' The Game of Love''. There were two versions of the song; a Greek version and an English version. The Greek version was released in November 2005 in Greece and was a major hit going straight to number one for ten weeks including during Christmas. In total, the song charted for 23 weeks, leaving Helena with her most successful CD single to date. The single was released as a CD single and Sony BMG also re-released Helena's debut album ''Protereotita'' for a third time with her single under the name of ''Protereotita: Euro Edition + Mambo!''. ''Protereotita'' ( el, Προτεραιότητα, italic=yes; ''Priority''), is the debut solo album by Greek singer Helena Paparizou, released on 27 June 2004 by Sony Music Greece. The album's first single, Anapandites Kliseis, was released as a CD-single prior to the album's release and reached number 1 on the Greek IFPI singles chart. The album was also re-released twice in Greece, and once internationally as ''My Number One''. Overall, there are five different editions available of the album. The original album was only a mild success, however, following Paparizou's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest the ''Euro Edition'' peaked at number one on the charts and was certified platinum by the IFPI.
