My Everest
''My Everest'' is the debut studio album on Search and Rescue Records, from the Flint, Michigan based punk rock band, The Swellers. Background In September and October 2006, the band embarked on a tour of the US with Bensin. Following this, they went on a short tour of Japan. Release In January and February 2007, the Swellers went on an East Coast tour; Bensin and Giving Chase appeared on select dates. In March and April 2007, they toured across the US with labelmates Alucard, leading up to an appearance at the Bowling Green Music Festival. On May 1, 2007, ''My Everest'' was announced for release the following month. "Bottles", "The Flood", and "This Is My Everest" were posted on the band's Myspace profile. The Swellers
The Swellers were an American punk band from Flint, Michigan. Their music is influenced by melodic punk rock bands as well as alternative and indie rock from the 1990s. Band history On June 24, 2002, brothers Nick and Jonathan Diener brought their friend Nate Lamberts from Grand Rapids, MI to Fenton, MI to jam. In the following days, The Swellers was formed and recorded a 3-song demo. After a week, the band booked its first show at the Flint Local 432 in Flint, Michigan opening for the band Divit. After a few years of playing shows all over Michigan and eventually the Midwest, The Swellers recruited Nick Ondovcsik on 2nd guitar. After a short lived stint with the band, Ondovcsik left in order to pursue other musical interests, eventually forming the death metal band Ares Letum. Fireworks is an American rock band from Metro Detroit, Michigan. They are currently signed to Triple Crown Records. History Early years and debut album (2004–10) Fireworks began in 2004 under the name Bears, hailing from the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. The Artist Life
The Artist Life was a Canadian pop punk band from Burlington, Ontario, signed to Underground Operations. History The Artist Life was started in 2005 by Ian Blackwood (formerly of Jersey, on vocals and guitar, and Dean Richards (formerly of Fallen Year and Dreams Among Stars) on guitar and vocals. They added Andy Crawford (formerly of Beaumont) on bass and Chris Danner (formerly of Grade and To The Lions) on drums and played their first show April 17, 2006, at Toronto's Bovine Sex Club with The Video Dead. Within a year, the band had recorded a 5-song demo of which they gave away over 1,000 copies. They also played several one-off concerts, though they never played outside of Ontario.
