Mwingi South Constituency
Mwingi South Constituency was a former electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of the eight constituencies in the Kitui County and is now known as Mwingi Central. The constituency was established for the 1997 elections and was one of two constituencies in the former Mwingi District Mwingi District was a former district of Kenya, located in the now defunct Eastern Province. The district had a population of 303.828 (1999 census). Its capital was Mwingi town. Local people are mostly of the Akamba tribe. North of Mwingi town, .... Constituencies Of Kenya
Constituencies of Kenya are used to elect members of the National Assembly, the lower chamber of the Kenyan Parliament. In accordance with article 89 of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya, there are 290 constituencies, based on a formula where these constituencies were to be delineated based on population numbers.
