Freddie Mwila
Freddie Mwila (born 6 July 1946) is a Zambian former association football player and coach. Rated as one of the country's greatest players and coaches, he featured for Rhokana United and was one of the first Zambians to play professional football abroad when he joined American side Atlanta Chiefs in 1967. Mwila also played for Aston Villa in England and made an impact as a coach, leading Power Dynamos to the 1991 African Cup Winners' Cup and coached several other club sides as well as the Zambia and Botswana national teams. Early life Mwila was born in Kasama and was raised by his grandparents because his father Dismas Chilufya and mother Senefa Chola were working in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and moved to Kitwe in 1952 when his grandfather decided to move him to the Copperbelt so that he could start school. Brian Mwila
Brian Mwila (born 16 June 1994) is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Buildcon F.C. and the Zambian national team. Mwila's playing career begun in his native Zambia where he turned out for Lime Hotspurs, Kabwe Warriors and Green Buffaloes before moving to South Africa to join Platinum Stars in 2017. He left the club shortly after to return to Zambia where he joined Buildcon and later that year joined Altach. He made his senior international debut for Zambia earlier in 2017 and helped his nation to a runners-up finish in the COSAFA Cup later that year. Club career Early career Mwila's professional career started in 2013 when he was signed from a provincial academy side by Lime Hotspurs. Benjamin Mwila
Benjamin Yoram Mwila (September 17, 1943 – August 17, 2013), often known as BY, was a Zambian politician and businessman. Mwila was a prominent leader and co-founder of the Zambia Republican Party. He served as an MP for Luanshya in the National Assembly. Mwila held several cabinet portfolios within the cabinet of President Frederick Chiluba during the 1990s, including Minister of Defence from 1991 to 1997. Life and career Mwila was born in Kawambwa, Zambia, on September 17, 1943. He attended primary school in Kawambwa and Chiwala Secondary School in Ndola. He then transferred to Munali Secondary School. Mwila was originally a member of the Movement for Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD), whose other members included Frederick Chiluba. Chiluba was elected President of Zambia in 1991. Mwila was also elected to the National Assembly as an MP from the Luanshya constituency in the 1991 general election.
