Muzzle (band)
Muzzle is an alternative rock band formed in 1994 by Ryan Maxwell, Wesley Nelson, Burke Thomas, and Greg Collinsworth. They have released two albums with Reprise Records: '' Betty Pickup'' in 1996 and ''Actual Size ''Actual Size'' is the sixth album by the American rock band Mr. Big, released in August 2001. It was their second and final studio album to feature guitarist Richie Kotzen. ''Actual Size'' would be Mr. Big's final studio album for 9 years, unti ...'' in 1999. The band split up after the release of ''Actual Size'' due to differences with their management team. Maxwell and Nelson went on to form the band Young Sportsmen and had relative local success with the release of an Ep entitled ''The Familiar Glow of Colliding Particles''. Thomas formed the band Pris and later joined Vendetta Red on drums. Alternative rock, or alt-rock, is a category of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1970s and became widely popular in the 1990s. Burke Thomas
Burke Thomas, also known as Burke Thomas Overdrive, is an American musician and record producer, who is the drummer of Duff McKagan's Loaded and Vendetta Red. Thomas began his career with the band Muzzle, recording on the studio album ''Betty Pickup'' in 1996, before forming a solo project entitled Pris, performing all the instruments on the album ''The Kiss Off'', released in 2004. Thomas first joined Vendetta Red in 2001, recording on their fourth album ''Sisters of the Red Death'' released in 2005. The album itself peaked at number 27 on the ''Billboard'' Top Heatseekers. When the band broke up in 2006, Thomas would go on to form a number of projects including The Treatment and Megasapien, releasing their debut album ''Surrender'' in 2011, before Vendetta Red reunited in 2010 to record a new album with producer Terry Date the following year. ''Actual Size'' is the sixth album by the American rock band Mr. Big. Released in August 2001 through Atlantic Records, it was the band's final album with the label, their second and final studio album to feature guitarist Richie Kotzen, and their final studio album until '' What If...'' in 2010. The song "Shine" was used as the closing theme to the anime adaptation of ''Hellsing''. Kotzen and Sheehan's band The Winery Dogs performed regularly the song in recent tours.
