"Mutual Feeling" is the fifth single released by the British R&B recording artist Beverley Knight from her debut album '' The B-Funk'' (1995). The track, which peaked at #124 on the UK Singles Chart when it was released in 1996, did not have a promotional video made to accompany it and remains Knight's second lowest charting single to date in the UK, after "After You". Beverley Knight (born Beverley Anne Smith, 22 March 1973) is an English recording artist and musical theatre actress. She released her first album, ''The B-Funk'', in 1995. Heavily influenced by American soul music icons such as Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin, Knight has released eight studio albums. Widely labelled as one of Britain's greatest soul singers, Knight is best known for her hit singles "Greatest Day (Beverley Knight song), Greatest Day", "Get Up! Hip Hop Soul
Hip hop soul is a subgenre of contemporary R&B music, most popular during the early and mid 1990s, which fuses R&B or soul singing with hip hop musical production. The subgenre had evolved from a previous R&B subgenre, new jack swing, which had incorporated hip-hop influences into R&B music. 'Cast All Your Cares' was the last single released off Beverley Knight's debut album, ''The B-Funk''. The song was not released as a single in the UK and only received a very limited release in Europe, becoming something of a rarity. It was her third single release in Germany. "After You" is the second single released from British singer-songwriter Beverley Knight's fifth studio album, ''Music City Soul''. The radio edit of the song was produced by Pete Vale and has different production and vocals to the original album version, which was produced by Mark Nevers. Blak Twang (born Tony Olabode in England), who also uses the pseudonyms Taipanic and Tony Rotton, is a British rapper who grew up in Deptford, Lewisham, South-East London.
