Mustapha Yahaya
Mustapha Yahaya (born 9 January 1994) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Lincoln Red Imps. Career Early career Yahaya started his career in Ghana before moving to join FC Twente youth side Jong FC Twente. He played in the U-19 before being promoted to the U-21 side. Europa FC In July 2016, Yahaya joined Gibraltar-side Europa FC on a free transfer. On 14 July 2016, he made his debut in the UEFA Europa League, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 loss to AIK Fotboll. He also played the full 90 minutes in the return leg on 21 July 2017, which ended in the same 1–0 scoreline as the first leg. On 26 June 2017, he played the full 90 minutes in the UEFA Champions league knockout match against The New Saints F.C. which ended in a 2–1 victory for his club. 2020–21 Gibraltar National League
The 2020–21 Gibraltar National League season is the second season of the new Gibraltar National League in Gibraltar, and the 122nd season of football on the territory overall. There are no reigning champions this season, as the previous season was declared abandoned as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The league is due to kick off on 16 October 2020. Instead of qualifying for the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League, teams placed 2nd, 3rd and the 2021 Rock Cup winners will qualify for the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League. Format The structure of the league will follow that of the previous season. Teams will play one round of games as a single league, before splitting into two groups: the Championship Group contested by the top 6 sides, and the Challenge Group between the bottom 6 sides. 2018–19 Gibraltar Premier Division
The 2018–19 Gibraltar Premier Division was the 120th season of the top-tier state football league in Gibraltar, as well as the sixth season since the Gibraltar Football Association joined UEFA in 2013. The league was contested by ten clubs, and began on 13 August 2018. Lincoln Red Imps were the reigning champions, having won their 23rd title the previous season. They competed in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, while Europa and St Joseph's contested the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. The season was marred by revelations of betting rules violations by a host of players and coaches at a number of clubs. Format The ten Premier Division clubs played each other three times for a total of 27 matches each. 2021–22 Rock Cup
The 2021–22 Rock Cup was a single-leg knockout tournament contested by clubs from Gibraltar, with twelve clubs that participated. The winners, Lincoln Red Imps qualified for the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League, due to finishing first in the 2021–22 Gibraltar National League, so the fourth-placed team, Bruno's Magpies qualified for the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League instead. Lincoln Red Imps are the defending champions, who also won this edition by defeating Bruno's Magpies in the final, 2–1, after scoring two late goals in the 89th and 90+1st minute to come back from a 1–0 deficit. Bracket First round The draw for the first round of this season's tournament was held on 7 January 2022. Bruno's Magpies received a bye to the quarter-finals by virtue of winning the GFA Challenge Trophy last season.
