''MusiqInTheMagiq'' is the sixth studio album by the R&B singer Musiq Soulchild. It was released on April 29, 2011, on Atlantic Records. The album entered the ''Billboard'' 200 chart at number eight, selling 34,000 copies in its first week. As of 2016, the album has sold over 111,000 copies. Singles No physical singles were released from the album, though two songs came out as iTunes singles, "Anything" and "Yes". The music video for "Anything" was directed by Phillip "Taj" Jackson and was officially released on May 3, 2011, on iTunes. Taalib Hassan Johnson (born September 16, 1977), better known by the stage name Musiq Soulchild or simply Musiq (pronounced "music") is an American singer and songwriter whose style blends R&B, funk, blues, jazz, and Gospel music, gospel influences fused with Hip hop music, hip hop. It is the first album to be released on an independent label, after previously recording several albums on Def Jam Recordings and Atlantic Records. The album entered the ''Billboard'' 200 chart at number 11, selling 91,498 copies its first week. Jerry "Wonda" Duplessis (born 9 August 1975) is a Haitian music producer, film score composer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. His first major success was as a producer for the Fugees' 1996 album '' The Score''. He also played the bass guitar with the Fugees, and group member Wyclef Jean is his cousin. Element (stylized as ELEMENT) was an Icelandic/Norwegian record production and songwriting team, consisting of Hitesh Ceon and Kim Ofstad. The team was disbanded in January 2016. On their website Hitesh is described as being the main producer and composer of the team, while Kim is the drummer, and described as the more social/networking part of the team.
