Mushaboom (song)
"Mushaboom" is the first single released by indie pop singer Feist from her album '' Let It Die''. It was released November 23, 2004 by Universal International, and is Feist's second single released in Canada, after " Inside and Out". Feist performed the song live on ''Jimmy Kimmel Live!'' in January 2006 and appears on the 2008 compilation album, '' Northern Songs: Canada's Best and Brightest''. It also is part of the soundtrack of the movie ''500 Days of Summer''. Music videos There are currently two music videos for this song. The first video starts off with clips of Feist in what appear to be canyons or some sort of mountainous region at sunset with clouds swirling around her. Scenes of Feist singing, as well as walking through a meadow, are shown. Then snowflake designs appear everywhere and they are removed to reveal the clouds, still at sunset. Leslie Feist (born 13 February 1976), known Mononymous person, mononymously as Feist, is a Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter and guitarist, performing both as a solo artist and as a member of the indie rock group Broken Social Scene. Mushaboom, Nova Scotia
Mushaboom is a rural community on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a part of the Halifax Regional Municipality and lies along the Marine Drive on Trunk 7. The community is located about southwest of Sheet Harbour. and east of Taylor Head Provincial Park. The name Mushaboom is likely a shortened form of the Mi'kmaq word ''Moosaboon-elagwaak'' which means "a pile of hair". Mi'kmaq legend says that fairies would play ball and run, pulling at one another's hair as they did so. They would pull so hard that locks of hair would come away and then the fairies would scatter the locks on the ground. An early name for the settlement was "Winchelsea Harbour", likely named for a ship on which the founders of Halifax arrived in 1749. The area was barren and unsettled in 1818, but by 1827, 14 families lived here and the community was referred to as '"Taylor's Bay" or "Chelsea Bay". Laila Biali (born 3 October 1980) is a Canadian Vocal jazz, jazz singer and pianist. She has been nominated for and won a Juno Award and has worked with Chris Botti and Sting (musician), Sting. Bright Eyes is an American indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst.
