Museo De Arte Contemporáneo (Madrid)
The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo ( en, Museum of Contemporary Art), formerly known as Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporáneo, is a municipally-owned museum in Madrid, Spain, located in the historic Conde Duque barracks. The museum was inaugurated in November 2001. Inauguration The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo was inaugurated as ''Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporáneo'' on 12 November 2001. The opening pursued two basic aims: to create a permanent forum in the context of a center like the Conde Duque, open to an intense cultural and exhibition program, and to complement the other museums and contemporary art collections in Madrid. Similar to other contemporary art museums, both national and foreign, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo has used a historic building to house the contemporary art collection, in this case of the Madrid City Council. Ramón Gómez De La Serna
Ramón Gómez de la Serna y Puig (3 July 1888 in Madrid – 13 January 1963 in Buenos Aires) was a Spanish writer, dramatist and avant-garde agitator. He strongly influenced surrealist film maker Luis Buñuel. Ramón Gómez de la Serna was especially known for " Greguería", a short form of poetry that roughly corresponds to the one-liner in comedy. The Gregueria is especially able to grant a new and often humorous perspective. Serna published over 90 works in all literary genres. In 1933, he was invited to Buenos Aires. He stayed there during the Spanish Civil War and the following Spanish State and died there. Miguel Condé
Miguel Condé (born 1939) is a Mexican figurative painter, draughtsman, and print maker. According to ''Radio France'', he is "one of the most important contemporary masters in the field of engraving." Condé's works are in important museum collections all over the world; he is exhibiting regularly at both public and private venues, and he has received numerous international honors and awards. Early life Miguel Condé was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Salvador Condé Álvarez, a Mexican painter, and Victoria Weiner, an American poet. He grew up in his father's house in Mexico. Eduardo Arroyo
Eduardo Arroyo Rodríguez (26 February 1937 – 14 October 2018) was a Spanish painter, sculptor and graphic artist. He was also active as a writer and set designer. Arroyo is regarded as one of the most important exponents of politically committed realism. Arroyo was born in Madrid and originally trained a journalist, graduating from School of Journalism, Madrid in 1958. Following his studies and growing contempt for the Francoist Spain, Arroyo emigrated to Paris at the age of 21. He originally began working as an author and journalist, but soon decided to devote himself to painting. Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery is a London gallery for contemporary art and an independent charity opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985.
