''Muse'' is a 2019 British psychological horror film written, directed and produced by Candida Brady and starring Rupert Everett, Alison Doody, Derek Jacobi and Géza Röhrig. It had its worldwide premiere on 18 October 2019. Premise A hugely successful artist spirals into a depression (mood), depression following his new-found fortune and is tormented by his inner demons. Rupert James Hector Everett (; born 29 May 1959) is an English actor, director and producer. Everett first came to public attention in 1981 when he was cast in Julian Mitchell's play and subsequent film '' Another Country'' (1984) as a gay pupil at an English public school in the 1930s; the role earned him his first BAFTA Award nomination. He received a second BAFTA nomination and his first Golden Globe Award nomination for his role in ''My Best Friend's Wedding'' (1997), followed by a second Golden Globe nomination for '' An Ideal Husband'' (1999). Alison Doody (born March 9, 1966) is an Irish actress and model. After making her feature film debut as Bond girl Jenny Flex in ''A View to a Kill'' (1985), she went on to play Elsa Schneider in '' Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'' (1989). Sir Derek George Jacobi (; born 22 October 1938) is an English actor. Géza Röhrig ( hu, Röhrig Géza, ; May 11, 1967) is a Hungarian actor and poet. He is best known for his role in the 2015 film ''Son of Saul'', which won the Grand Prix at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
