Muscle Tussle
''Muscle Tussle'' is a 1953 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' theatrical cartoon short directed by Robert McKimson. The cartoon was released on April 18, 1953 and stars Daffy Duck. Synopsis Daffy goes to the beach with his girlfriend Melissa Duck, who bears a strong resemblance to Veronica Lake (voiced by an uncredited Gladys Holland), and prepares to take her picture. While posing, she sees a muscle-bound duck and turns her attention toward him. Daffy gets upset and calls out the muscle-bound duck (a soft-spoken yet still arrogant fellow) for "tryin' to muscle in on [his] chick". He replies that he'll bob Daffy so hard he'll have to open his vest to eat if he says one more word. Daffy takes the threat rather lightly, and the muscle-bound duck proceeds to hit Daffy so hard that his head sinks into his stomach. In a daze, Daffy orders "One cheeseburger, hold the onions". Robert McKimson
Robert Porter McKimson Sr. (October 13, 1910 – September 29, 1977) was an American animator and illustrator, best known for his work on the ''Looney Tunes'' and '' Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons from Warner Bros. Cartoons and later DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. He wrote and directed many animated cartoon shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Hippety Hopper, and The Tasmanian Devil, among other characters. He was also well known for defining Bugs Bunny's look in the 1943 short ''Tortoise Wins by a Hare''. Career Born in Denver, Colorado, McKimson spent ten years gaining an art education at the Lukits School of Art. Daffy Duck is an animated cartoon character created for Leon Schlesinger Productions by animators Tex Avery and Bob Clampett. ''Duck! Rabbit, Duck!'' is a 1953 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' cartoon directed by Charles M. Jones. The cartoon was released on October 3, 1953 and stars Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd. The cartoon is the third of Jones' "hunting trilogy", which began with 1951's ''Rabbit Fire'' and 1952's ''Rabbit Seasoning''. Plot Set in winter, we find Daffy Duck removing and burning every "Duck Season Open" sign he finds in order to warm himself in the winter, and prevent himself from being hunted. Elmer is out hunting and Daffy uses several signs to convince Elmer that it is rabbit season, making Elmer excited about "Fwesh wabbit stew!" just before Elmer follows a yellow line to Bugs' rabbit hole.
