Muscat Club
Muscat Club () is an Omani sports club based in Muscat, Oman. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, the highest league of the Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, but they also recognize the older Royal Oman Police Stadium as their home ground. Both stadiums are government owned, but Muscat Club also own their own personal stadium and sports equipments, as well as their own training facilities. Being a multisport club Although being mainly known for their football, Muscat Club like many other clubs in Oman, have not only football in their list, but also hockey, volleyball, handball, basketball, badminton and squash. They also have a youth football team competing in the Omani Youth league. Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex
The Sultan Qaboos Stadium at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex ( ar, مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي), also known locally as Boshar ( ar, بوشر), is a government-owned multi-purpose stadium in the Boshar district of Muscat, Oman. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and also has facilities for athletics. The stadium originally had a capacity of over 40,000, but after recent renovations the capacity was reduced to 34,000. It is the home stadium of the Oman national football team. The Qaboos Stadium was used as the main stadium in the 19th Arabian Gulf Cup in 2009, and was also used in the 13th Arabian Gulf Cup competition in 1996. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. The 2007 Sultan Qaboos Cup was the 35th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 15 August 2007 with the group stage and concluded on 26 November 2007. Dhofar S.C.S.C. were the defending champions, having won their seventh title in 2006. On Monday 26 November 2007, Sur SC were crowned the champions of the 2007 Sultan Qaboos Cup when they defeated Muscat Club 5–4 on penalties after the match had ended 1-1 after extra time, hence winning the title for the third time. The Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), also known as the HM's Cup, is Oman's premier knockout tournament for men's football. It was officially created in 1972 and the champions of that edition were Al-Ahli. Shortly known as Oman cup. Currently the most successful club in the league is Dhofar with a total of ten titles to their name, with the latest win at the 2020-2021 season. Oman First Division League
The Oman First Division League (known as the Omantel First Division League for sponsorship purposes) is the second-highest Association football league in Oman. Contested by 13 teams, the top 2 teams replace the bottom two in the Oman Professional League while the third-placed team has a play-off facing the third last-laced team in order to gain promotion. It is one of four divisions the Oman Football Association (Oman's main football governing body) encompasses, and has 12 teams while the Second Division and Third Division have 13 and 20 clubs each. All First Division teams are entered in the Sultan Qaboos Cup draw. Two First Division teams made the quarter-finals in 2016. The 2016-17 Oman First Division commenced on September 18. The 2003–04 Omani League was the 28th edition of the top football league in Oman. It began on 6 November 2003 and finished on 27 May 2004. Ruwi Club were the defending champions, having won the previous 2002–03 Omani League season. On Thursday, 27 May 2004, Al-Nasr S.C.S.C. won 2-1 at home in their final league match against Al-Oruba SC and emerged as the champions of the 2003–04 Omani League with a total of 46 points. Teams This season the league had decreased from 14 to 12 teams.
