''Murder Squad Nationwide'' is an album by American rap group South Central Cartel and friends. It was released February 14, 1995 on South Central Cartel's G.W.K. Records and distributed by Def Jam Recordings. The album features production by Ant Banks, DJ Gripp, G$ Money and Prodeje. It peaked at number 12 on the ''Billboard'' Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, at number 1 on the ''Billboard'' Top Heatseekers and at number 106 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Knock on Wood There are two different versions of the song, "Knock on Wood", the album version and the remixed version. Robert Lee Greene, Jr. (born July 2, 1970), better known by his stage name Spice 1 (an acronym for "Sex, Pistols, Indo, Cash and Entertainment"), is an American rapper from Hayward, California. Anthony Reynard Watson, (March 3, 1957-July 1, 2021) a native of Mobile, Alabama, was an American soul singer, who toured and recorded (off and on) with The Chi-Lites in the late 1980s and 1990s. Career Watson's career began with the group Return Ticket in Europe; he later toured with the group Praze. His eponymous album was released by Amherst Records in 1985, as well as such singles as ''Solid Love Affair'', ''She Will Never Wait Forever'', and ''Missing You Tonight''. Watson met Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites' founder, and joined the group as lead vocalist in the late 1980s. He would leave the Chi-Lites twice during the nineties, with his predecessor Frank Reed returning in his absence. Brandi Younger, professionally known by her stage name Gripsta, is an Oakland-born female rapper. Discovered by Ice-T at the age of 13, she was featured on song titled "Funky Gripsta" off of his 1993 album ''Home Invasion'' and later signed to Tuff Break/A&M Records in the 1990s. Her debut single "Pop Goz the 9" was partially leaked in January 1994, its music video was directed by Ice-T. However Gripsta's debut single was never officially released. The Tuff Break label on A&M Records was dropped before her scheduled release date.
